MedXMentor Launch Event

This was a hybrid event with online and physical attendance conducted on 25th February 2022 at Hotel Triangle, Mbarara that was attended by over 100 guests, including; Deans of the Faculty of Medicine at Mbarara University, Dr. Joseph Ngonzi and Dr. Jonans Tusiimire and the keynote speakers for the day; Prof. Neil Lawrence, Prof. Francis Omaswa, Prof. Nelson K. Sewankambo, and Ms. Irene Atuhaire and about 40 MedXMentor applicants. In addition, selected lecturers and professors from Mbarara University and Makerere University also attended the event. This event was organized to officially unveil and launch the MedXMentor Mentorship Program in Africa, starting with Mbarara University in Uganda.

Celebrating Growth: MedXMentor Cohort 1 Graduation

On 21st October 2022, MedXMentor held the graduation ceremony for its first cohort of mentees at Hotel Triangle, Mbarara. The event marked the successful completion of a structured mentorship program focused on personal and professional development for students in the medical field. Mentees were awarded certificates in recognition of their commitment and progress throughout the program. The occasion was honored by the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, mentors under MedXMentor, and representatives from SEED Global Health. The graduation of Cohort 1 marks a key milestone in MedXMentor’s mission to empower future medics through mentorship, leadership, and cross-border collaboration.
